[Have a Bonnie working away in the Lux and being a responsible employee. She's currently clearing the tables, coming back to clean them afterwards, making sure that they were spotless. Her journal is tucked away in the folds of her apron since Bonnie likes to have it on her at all times.

Unknown to Bonnie there's a glass that's resting near the edge of a table behind her. All she had to do was turn around and then-

Whoops!

Yep, she knocked it over.

It smashes to the ground, glass shattering everywhere. It's going to be one heck of a clean-up. But she's got a trick up her sleeve.

Looking around quickly to see if anyone was watching first, Bonnie then stretches out her hand, murmuring a few words to herself. A moment passes and then the glass starts to piece back together, bit by bit until its whole again. No traces of it on the ground.

After doing that, Bonnie gets back to work, a smile on her face.

((ooc: Open! Feel free to have your character see what Bonnie did or just bump into her afterwards :3))

[Ezio, dressed entirely in dark robes, can be found seated on one of the many rooftops of the city. He has his journal open to a blank page and the tip of a quill pressed to it. He can't quite figure out what to write. He should write something, shouldn't he?

There is this overwhelming feeling of uncertainty. He wants to know what's happening at home. He wants to know what it's like to leave Italy by choice. He wants to know more about Altair and his life, even if his ancestor seems reluctant to share much at all that he doesn't already know.

If anyone has their journal open, they'll hear a sigh from the old Assassin but nothing else.

He won't be moving much, sitting leaned against that chimney, but he's visible to people who look up from their daily lives or happen to be on the rooftops themselves.]

It's bee a while since I've been in the clinic. I don't know who all works there anymore, but I'm sure you all don't mind an extra volunteer.

[that said, he's going to go in the clinic and re-familiarize himself with things]

I am currently looking for people interested in work at the Peace Patrol forensics lab. It is a relatively new venture that my partner, Agent Booth, and I have been working on instituting as a part of the criminal investigative process here in Paradisa. I am looking for intelligent, hard working individuals who hold some sort of background in the sciences and are capable of quick learning.

Although we already have a couple of volunteers, in addition to my co-workers from the Jeffersonian in D.C., I would ideally like to expand the capabilities of the laboratory. I am also looking for someone willing to personally assist me in my osteological work. Preferably, I am seeking an intern someone with prior experience in physical anthropology but, given the limitations I have to work with, I will be willing to accept anyone who proves themselves eager and adept enough to learn under my tutelage.

[There's a pause in the writing and the next few lines are skipped when she resumes.]

Has any sort of archaeological research ever been conducted in Paradisa?

[Things seemed to be normal again, but... Colette can't help but feel that there's a certain gloom hanging around the castle. She can't place it, but it makes her sad, so she wants to do something about it. So after doing extensive research in the library, and getting her filters and private messages out of the way... Colette looks at the now plain journal page with DETERMINATION!!1!]

What do you call a fish that doesn't have any eyes?

[hehe, she giggles softly to herself first before delivering the super awesome punchline] A fish! Oh... wait, I didn't say that right, um...

[there's a pause as she finds a pen, and writes down] 'Fsh'

Like that! Because, when there's no letter 'i' in the word fish, it sounds a little different, but... [asdghsdgak pause..... ]

I'm sorry... I don't think I told that very well. I-I'll try to find a different joke.

She looked down at the still unopened bottle of tequila, the very same brand she and Kaylee had overindulged in --- what? Six months ago? Seven? It might've been sometime right after Valentine's Day. It's what prompted the evening out, after all. Looking at the way the light caught the amber liquid, Fred couldn't help but think just like her seat on the bar? Her perspective had changed so much since then. She couldn't even begin to --

Right. Tequila.

"Deal?"

She took the silence that followed as a form of amicable agreement.

Because tonight, on a whim, she's claimed Caritas as her own. And Cordy seemed to see the appeal of the idea as well. A few accepted invitations later, there was a certain promise to the evening. Off a smile Fred kicked one of the barstools and watched it spin.

It was going to be a long night. A good, long night.

Who: Mal and ye gun-happy folk
What: He needs to shoot things. Fancy that?
When: Thursday afternoon
Where: Shooting Range
Rating: PG.

This had to be one of those rare 'Grace of God' moments that Mal didn't believe in. His wandering about had found him in front of what seemed like a fully functioning shooting range. Mal, well...had never actually been to a range before though he was a good shot when it came to real world application. And his fancy for shooting off his pistol had been growing since he woke up that fateful night pantsless. He'd signed in with a glee akin to a child on Christmas and proudly strutted to the shooting range. After having been pointed to where it was, of course.

The day was bright and if he could try he could keep the castle out of his peripheral. Either way, with the first round off and a neat pock of circular bullet holes in his target, he started to feel better. A little more at ease. He pondered that he could spend the whole afternoon there if he really tried. No flack off his back, really. It was much simpler here. Mal liked simple.

I've been trying to learn how to do new things lately, so that I don't get bored or anything. And back when I could see, I got to look at a lot of different things, and I thought that maybe I'd be able to draw, even though I still can't see. After all, I can play the piano without my sight, right?

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
