[Check it out, Paradisa. Angela is making her very own rangoli. She's got experience you know. She's sketching out in the journal before she does the real thing.]
This is the rangoli design similar to the one of this guy I used to date. His family shared it with me and I got help them paint it one year. Rangoli is an ancient tradition and folk art from India. Every family has their own style of rangoli that's passed down through the generations. [Angela sounds really happy as she keeps sketching, she loves to teach/explain] Of course, they might change it up a little but it's usually the same. It's meant to be put in the entrance of one's home to greet the deities during festivals. Rangoli symbolizes joy and happiness

Pretty amazing right? It'll look even better once I do it really big on the floor.
