World! New world! This place changes into new worlds every once in a while. Last time, it was a big city on Earth! [in town, already running around ~~terrorizing little old ladies~~] Hey, what do you think I could get my puppy to eat?

[Light, this kid never stopped, did he? He's recognizing the voice now... though it's not so bad over the journal. If he can channel, at least he's not anywhere close.]

New worlds? Like that bloody space mess we ended up in? I don't remember getting swallowed this time.

...same stuff you feed any dog. Give him a bit of meat and a bone to chew on.

Yeah, well, sometimes it changes different! Don't think the castle's ever stayed before. This is neat!

We went to a place called Los Angeles once! It was pretty cool; it was on Earth, where a bunch of people from the castle are from.

Yeah, seems like half the bloody castle is from there.

So what's happened now? This doesn't look like a new world. it's the same bloody place... just without ghosts.

I wonder why the castle likes Earth people so much...

Heh! Well, special stuff happens - people are gonna act different, there'll be things in town to do - it's gonna be different from what the place was like before. Just hope nothing bad happens.

Act different how? [he's managed to get food from the servants (who are, thankfully, as helpful as the ghosts were), and is making his way through the lobby to take a look outside, noting the changes he'd ignored on the way down]

Like, you know! They'll probably be people who've been here the whole time! Like, they won't know what the people from the castle really are. It happened in L.A.

So the people in town are even more clueless than we are. That's a bloody nuisance.

... Hey, uh, it's not all that bad? Sure they don't know how to get us home, but at least they aren't the people who brought us here. Nothing to hold against them, right?

Yeah...no. Nothing against them. Though I wouldn't mind getting my hands on whoever is bloody responsible.

[thoughtful] Still.. a little bit of time in my kind of world doesn't sound like too bad a trip. It's not home, but...

... But it's pretty cool, right? [heh] You should enjoy it while it lasts. We gotta go back to the castle sometime, right?

Unless we find a way out of here and back to our real homes. [but he's not holding out too much hope for that]

Yeah, but... that's not happening any time soon. So, just for now? Might as well learn about the people here!

I think they got replaced by actual maids and butlers.

Why'd the castle go and do that? I mean... Light... not like I'm complaining.

I'd just kinda gotten used to them.

I'm thinking the entire castle is different because the world changed. There's no electricity, no running water... and the ghosts are gone.

It feels like a fairy tale, really, but more realistic.
