003: reflections ( dictated )
[ The sound of the journal flipping open is heard, little hands rapidly pushing each page to the next in frustration, apparently looking for pictures to make it more interesting. This gets a small chuckle from Buffy. ]
Well, at least someone is putting this thing to use.
[ The sounds continue on for a bit, and she stares at the little girl in front of her, arms crossed over her chest, her slightly hunched over back leaning against the trunk of a tree outside. She was skeptical, of course, but after looking into it and seeing how other people had children, she apparently had no choice but to take responsibility. ]
Mommy...
[ It'd been a busy week for her; being stuck in a music box, then coming out of it to be handed a child that's apparently hers. ]
Mama!
[ This entire situation made things a bit uncomfortable. Buffy never really thought of her future that way... with children. It'd never really come up. ]
MAMA!
[ The screaming child finally snapped Buffy out of her daze, and she sat up, turning toward the girl, a little wide-eyed. ]
Oh! Right. Mama... That's me, isn't it?
Mama, Joyce is tired.
[ A pause. There it was. The main reason why she was tied to this child--compelled to believe that maybe this was for real. The small girl climbed in between Buffy's legs and curled up against her, blonde hair sprawled out over her lap, the occasional breeze causing it to cling to her shirt. A small smile rose to her lips, as her fingers gently ran through Joyce's hair. ]
[ OOC: Buffy is outside under some tree shade. Feel free to come bug her in person or via journal. :) ]

Eventually she came across some trees and sat down underneath them, stretching out her legs and seemingly unaware of anyone around her.]

I'm guessing from the relaxing, you found a baby sitter?

I wasn't actually given a child so this is just me taking a break from exploring. I'm new here.

He sees Buffy and walks over, partly because he wants to show off his little girl, partly because he just likes her.]
Hi, love. You're looking less stiff than the last time I saw you.
[Annie Frye whacks her fists against Spike's head.]
Down, Daddy, down! I wanna say hi to Aunt Buffy!

Part of her actually wanted that to happen.Though, when he didn't and made his way over to her, she saw on closer inspection the little girl.Who then called her Aunt Buffy. It was strange. Not just because of the Aunt part--no, that was strange on all it's own. But after hearing what Spike said happened between them then... this...
Think better thoughts Buffy. ]
I was hoping after being inanimate for so long, some things would change. [ Give him the once over. ] I guess not.
[ And that's about the time she'll turn her attention to Annie, and offer up a smile and a wave. ]

Sorry to disappoint.
[Annie waves back, and Spike helps bring her down to the ground. She runs over to Buffy and flops down on the ground next to her.]
That's Annie, by the way. I take it that one's yours? Seems to be a bloody baby epidemic around here.

Regardless.
This would be Alice sniffing her way over with Hannah in tow, and Sam being tall and watching from a distance to make sure that she didn't get hurt in the process. As they get close to Buffy and Joyce though, Hannah digs in her heels and tugs on the leash]
Alice, stop!
[the commanding tone from the toddler is both adorable and effective. Alice stops and sits. And Hannah grins]

[ Buffy's eyes wandered up to see the man trailing behind the two of them, and she smiled. ]
Looks like you got a lot on your plate.
no subject
Yeah, well -- what can you do when they insist on doing things themselves, right?
[and then there's a beat as his head tilts to the side]
It's Buffy, right?
