025.

I am currently looking for people interested in work at the Peace Patrol forensics lab. It is a relatively new venture that my partner, Agent Booth, and I have been working on instituting as a part of the criminal investigative process here in Paradisa. I am looking for intelligent, hard working individuals who hold some sort of background in the sciences and are capable of quick learning.

Although we already have a couple of volunteers, in addition to my co-workers from the Jeffersonian in D.C., I would ideally like to expand the capabilities of the laboratory. I am also looking for someone willing to personally assist me in my osteological work. Preferably, I am seeking an intern someone with prior experience in physical anthropology but, given the limitations I have to work with, I will be willing to accept anyone who proves themselves eager and adept enough to learn under my tutelage.

[There's a pause in the writing and the next few lines are skipped when she resumes.]

Has any sort of archaeological research ever been conducted in Paradisa?

[He can relate to that really, a sharp mind is as much a blessing as it is a curse. And because he doesn't want Helen seeing him spreading this around MORE he writes in a filter.]

An organization called the Sanctuary Network, an international, privately funded for the most part organization.

Yes I am aware of that belief. However, my friend and colleague would rather we attempt to keep such things, away from the populace at large. It is not, those who leave but those who are here she is worried about. [He...doesn't want to get yelled at basically.]

What is your view on the, beings here of similar origin to humans but could be considered offshoots in some way? Say, elves or vampires.

Many in my own world would have thought much the same as you, that such beings would be fiction and not scientific fact.

And I never claimed it did now did I? Far from it, such things lean more towards such things as magic being of a genetic abnormality then that of such a fictional source. And you do not have to be non-human in order to, posses such traits.

Ah now see many have argued such a thing with myself, but I am not inclined to believe in it either.

And I thought it might, you seem the type to take such interest in it. However I can tell you this, in my own world it is no theory but fact, there are three of us here who can attest to that. It is the primary focus of the organization I am a part of to research, house and aide those with such abnormalities, we call them Abnormals.

Some are, some are not. Some are an offshoot of other animals, hawks, walrus, arachnid, beetle. Or they are the evolution of however it got there, vampire squids for example, are extraordinarily intelligent creatures who take after the vampire's in my own world in that regard, but not their bloodsucking ways.

And some, like elementals, we can not truly explain how they occurred.

A very fascinating field of study, however one I do not, I must say, indulge in as much as others I know.

And it is, I will say. Though the ruins of the cultures as well can be as, fascinating to observe. Long lost cities in the Himalayas.

Fascinating, I remember that discovery, however I was, busy in, [<>A pause as he thinks about it...] India, aiding a colleague with housing an interesting offshoot of the tiger.

But yes I can see where you would truly. Our main interests, are the ones we are most passionate about, and if you were to, get your start as they say, in one field it is difficult to not miss it.

On occasion I do. This castle, provides many opportunities for me to learn about other cultures much like I did before, but it is, not the same.

Do you?

Something to be said for that. I have found this castle a wonderful place to, continue my study of other beings as well, so in a way I have continued at least a part of the work I did for the Sanctuary.

Indeed, though my colleague may think otherwise. It has taken some, doing to respect how such things need to be done, respect others and how far to push, and what I know does not fully translate to others. I take it you have not had the same fortune?

A close friend of yours? [Oh yes there is some teasing here.] And yes, I would say you have then if you have been able to do that.

I see.

Are your partner and your best friend one and the same? [He caught that slip up...]
