Who: Faye Valentine (
luckyvalentine) & Faith Lehane (
fiveby_five)
What: Uh, stepping out for air. Ahem. And then maybe a lot more than that.
When: During the rave, before the riot
Where: First floor and then moving elsewhere?
Rating: R
Faith wasn't really after air. After a night of dancing and drinking, her body was pulsing from the beat, tension gathering in every muscle. Her ears rang from the volume of the music, the kind where she knew she'd be hearing everything through cotton tomorrow. Dancing could go one of two ways: she dances so long she crashes into someone's couch or she crashes into someone for the rest of the night. And Faith wasn't looking to sleep.
She tugged Faye through the crowd until they passed into the kitchen. The music followed them, but it was quieter there. Faith laughed at something she thought she heard someone say on the way out. Maybe she made it up.
"Best idea ever, right?" She throws a look to Faye. Girl was getting touchy on the dance floor.

Oh, Faith was saying something. Her attention bobbed over to the other girl, and she grinned.
"Just what I needed."

All week Faith had been feeling restless, that kinda itch that only a certain something could scratch. Couldn't quite place it. Though it never occurred to her she was acting any different, her head was swimming with old ideas of power and control. She remembered what it was like to have strength. Nobody could stop her, she was better than them. And she wanted to find somebody who felt the same way.
Gets lonely at the top, right? All that ability going to her head, she wanted to dive into someone, make them drown with her.
Faith suddenly stretched, her hands tracing along her curves. She took a hard look at Faye. "Man, feel like I could go off any second. Know what I mean?"

As she brought the lighter up, focusing on controlling the loosened motions of her own arms, she caught that deliberate look on Faith's face. ...Hmm, maybe she hadn't paid close enough attention to her question. She was listening now, though.

"All worked up? Look at you, you've got that look. You're just itching for something to happen, something to get lost in." The words fell from her lips like honey, dark red lipstick curled into a sly smirk. "Am I right?"

Pointedly snatching the cigarette back, she matched Faith's dark smile while she took a long drag. "You could say that."

For some reason, her retaliation seemed to make Faith all the more interested. She watched the other woman with her cigarette. She'd always been aware of Faye's presence in the castle. They had a lot in common. Trouble always a step behind, the kind of crazy reckless that highlighted real bright that their past was shady. Faith had spent a lot of wasted time trying to convince another girl they were one in the same. This one wouldn't need half as much convincing. Her own skin felt suddenly too tight. Man, she was really working herself up.
Faith pressed in on her, eroding the distance between them. Her hand suddenly found itself on the back of Faye's neck, intent on pulling her in. "Think I can solve your problem."

Luckily, she didn't have to endure that for very long.
As Faye's personal space was suddenly eaten up, there was a tense moment of surprise where she almost expected this to be an attack of some kind. Freezing, fighting that defensive instinct as she was grabbed, it taking a beat or two for her to interpret it any other way.
When it did get through-- this was urging, want, excitement --the fight left her, in halting pieces, and she let herself be pulled.

But this, she'd been courting and dancing around it for years. She wanted to find someone, make someone, just like her. There's something really satisfying in dragging someone down to your level. At the same time, this was different. This girl was already there. She got it. Maybe Faith was really just looking to connect.
As a breezy sigh escaped her throat, her teeth grazed Faye's lower lip. Let's see where this ride goes. It was just like Christmas again.

She could always claim that Faith started it. It was true enough and, honestly, that was half the draw of it. Give the girl attention, and she was happy. She was starved for it, and it showed. So, there was only the slightest bit of hesitation before she was kissing back, and leaning into it a moment later.

After all, Faith never left anybody disappointed in her performance.
She hurriedly pushed Faye back toward the wall, planting a hand next to her head as her fingers traveled down the length of her side. It was hard not to like kissing women. Full, soft lips, and the flavor of cherry gloss. Never as sloppy. It'd been a while. Faith walked two fingers across Faye's thigh, a slow march inward. She panted against the other woman's ear, "Knew it. Bullshit panic back in December. You want this."

Faith's words in her ear made her shiver too-- the flutter of breath against her skin; the fact that she was right.
That's what had surprised her, back then. And now. It was so different than that defensive dance that she played with the boys. They were predatory and driven, easy to manipulate. And this... this was something else entirely. She didn't understand the rules to this game, but there was that same hunger burning. It was somehow something more untamed; she could only play along by instinct.
And that's how she found herself mumbling a pleased 'Mmmm' in resignation, before she could think, as she hunted after another kiss. Her breath was coming through lungs that felt heavier now, full of fire, fingers dragging nails across Faith's neck and tangling into her hair. --Long hair, not the shorter styles that she was used to toying with.
